Community Description:Inuyasha Fanworks and Canon Discussions Including Both Meta and Fanfiction
Inu-Fiction was originally founded by Tekka-Wekka and VorpalGirl in 2014, as a Tumblr blog dedicated to discussion of and sharing of fanworks for the Japanese manga and anime series "Inuyasha".

From the start, it had a heavy focus on both "meta" discussions, such as headcanons and analyses of canon, as well as fanfiction (in the form of original fanfic posts, as well as writing advice, discussions of fanfic tropes within Inuyasha fandom and fic recs). The latter is its namesake; it was originally primarily aimed at people who wanted to read or write fanfiction for the series, including those who wished to improve their fic writing by better understanding the characters and lore of the series and/or Japanese culture and history as it appears in the series.

In light of Tumblr as a platform losing its damn mind and becoming about as stable and trustworthy as a sinkhole however, VorpalGirl has, with Tekka's permission, chosen to archive many of the pieces written for the original Tumblr blog to both AO3 and Dreamwidth. Rather than just back it up to her own blog, Vorp has instead chosen to welcome fellow Dreamwidth users into it as a full-fledged DW Community, in the hopes of reviving and continuing the legacy of Inu-Fiction as a place where fans can meet to discuss and learn about the series and to share fanworks and headcanons for the series that they they have written or enjoyed. :)
